Ashley & Dustin might look like they showed up for some Pinnacle Peak engagement photos, but these two have actually got engaged way back in 2009.  They are still smokin’ in the desert after all this time, and it was a pleasure photographing their anniversary session!

I asked Ashley to tell me about Dustin’s proposal:

“I was dying to be engaged, haha! To be completely honest, I knew it was coming because we had gone ring looking…  There was a sale on a specific date so I figured he picked it up that weekend.  The actual proposal happened while we were away for the weekend with my Dad.  Dustin’s grandparents were there too, actually.  Anyway, I arrived before Dustin did and when he got to the hotel room, I was getting ready for dinner and curling my hair, hoping he would propose at dinner.  While I was getting ready he called my name and asked me to come into the room for a second.  I left the bathroom and when I entered the room he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him!  I was so excited and surprised that he asked right that second.  I wasn’t expecting that.  Then we got to share the news with his grandparents and my Dad in person, and we called the rest of our family.”

And Ashley is a fabulous photographer in her own right.  It’s always an honor to get another photographer in front of my camera!
