These two Oklahoma natives came out for a quick trip to Scottsdale for their desert engagement photos!  Scottsdale is special to them because they have been vacationing here since they started dating, and they wanted to capture the beauty of the desert.  Of course I was happy to oblige!

I asked Sarah to tell me about how Colby proposed:

“It was October 2015, and I was under the impression we were going to dinner with our families at this restaurant called Vast at the top of the Devon tower in downtown Oklahoma City. The Devon tower is the most recent addition to our skyline and it is definitely the tallest building (by a lot). We were going to get there early to have a drink with Colby’s brother and sister-in-law.

When we made the 52 floor trek and got off the elevator, there was a gentleman there to greet us, telling us our private table was not quite ready so he was going to take us around and show us some different views the building has to offer. In the last room, the man suddenly disappears, and we are alone in this room we are supposed to be dining in (it was not set up AT ALL for dinner, which kind of threw Colby for a loop). At this point, I’m STILL totally clueless and not picking up on anything.

Colby was waiting for me to turn around and look at the view long enough so he could get on his knee and sure enough, when I turned around, there he was. I have never been more surprised in my life! It took way too long for me to say yes (according to Colby) because I had to come back down to earth!”
