Windmill Winery Wedding – Megan & Lucas

Uncategorized

Megan & Lucas’ Windmill Winery wedding was so beautiful, and the perfect way to end my 2017 wedding season!  Filled with rich burgundy and a touch of sparkle, it was a fitting winter wedding surrounded by family, friends, and their beloved dog Frank.

I asked them to share about when they knew each other was “the one,” and a favorite dating memory.

Lucas:  I knew Megan was the one when we were in Flagstaff going to school, and Megan had to move back down to Phoenix for a semester for her student teaching.  I knew once she was no longer there with me everyday that I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life with anybody but her.

Megan:  I knew Lucas was the one at my sister’s wedding.  At the reception, we slowed danced to Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” and Lucas said he loved me.  In that moment, I knew.

We drove from Flagstaff to San Francisco the summer between our junior and senior year to go see a Giants game.  We stayed at an old, historic hotel in downtown San Francisco, and spent Fourth of July in Ghiradelli Square.  We then drove down to Santa Barbara, and ate pizza and drank a pitcher of beer looking out on the beach.  Right when we returned home, we went to the MLB All-Star Game at Chase Field and spent the game in the Chase Field pool with Justin Timberlake.

Congrats you two!
