Tenley & Alex are having a destination wedding in Scottsdale, so it was only fitting they flew out to take in some sun for their Arizona desert engagement photos. So many of my couples live out of state, and it’s so fun to see them embrace the beauty of the desert.
I asked Tenley to tell me about how Alex proposed:
“After an exhausting holiday travel schedule in December 2017, we had planned a trip to Cape Cod to have a low key New Years Eve together. Being the planner I am, I suggested a casual night on the 30th, and then have a fancy dinner and get dressed up on NYE. Alex, recognizing that I may have suspected a proposal on the 31st, suggested we throw on PJs and cook dinner together the night before. After dinner, we opened up our favorite bottle of red wine from our trip to Napa and sat by the fire. As we talked about our favorite memories from each month from the past year, Alex pulled out a ring he had hidden and got down on one knee. In front of the fireplace, and the snowy backdrop, it was the perfect setting.”
