Kara & TJ’s Desert Botanical Garden engagement session was simply beautiful. We were blessed with hazy skies and soft afternoon light. But most of all, these two were all smiles and so comfortable together! It was obvious how smitten they are and how excited they are to be married.

I asked Kara to tell me about how TJ proposed:

“We got engaged the day after Christmas. I wasn’t expecting it at all! My Christmas present from TJ was a staycation at the Camelback Inn and dinner at Steak 44. Little did I know there was never a dinner planned.

After we spent a few hours at the pool, we got dressed up and headed down to the bar for a drink. As we approached the stairs in the middle of the courtyard, he stopped me and got down on one knee. I think my initial response was, ‘Are you kidding me?!’ and then I said, ‘Yes, of course!’

We heard people clapping for us, and as I looked out over the courtyard, I was surprised to see both of our families there waiting to celebrate with us! TJ arranged for everyone to be there for our special moment, and I couldn’t have asked for more!”
