Maria & Jonathan’s Japanese Friendship Garden engagement photos were so beautiful and it was such a gorgeous day!  It’s been awhile since I’ve photographed a session at this location, and I’m so happy they chose it for their portraits.  And you have to check out Maria’s engagement ring, custom-designed by Jonathan himself!

I asked Maria to tell me about how they met and what the love about each other:

“We were both at a Purim party and had the same friend in common. I was talking with our mutual friend, Brian, and Jonathan joined in the conversation and we hit it off straight away. We were cracking jokes all evening and he asked me for my number and the rest is history!

Our favorite memory is that of our sharing each others dreams and stories with each other. We are both writers and have similar tastes. So when we told each other our story ideas it was exciting to find a likeminded person.”
