Natalie & John’s private estate wedding photos are going down in the record books, in more ways than one! I’ll start by retelling one of John’s favorite memories their pastor shared at the wedding, “That one time, when Natalie got pregnant, and we planned a wedding in six weeks!”
Yep, that’s exactly what they did. These two high school sweethearts, who dated for 10 years and were already planning their wedding for next year, got some unexpected but happy news, and cranked up their timeline to a mere 6 weeks. Not only that, but their entire family and guests were all traveling in from Minnesota to their grandfather’s ranch in Rio Verde, Arizona. With flawless execution by Outstanding Occasions, their elegant and organic wedding went off without a hitch.
Their family members are some of the nicest and sweetest people I’ve ever met. But I’ve always got a soft spot in my heart for my fellow midwesterners. They were all so kind and courteous to their guests as well as my team. I felt like part of the family. I think they brought some of that Minnesota cold with them though, because temps dropped that night in Arizona and I left not being able to feel my toes!
What I remember most about Natalie & John that day was how incredibly giddy and happy they both were. I don’t think the smiles ever left their faces! So much laughter and love all day long. I asked John to tell me about when he knew Natalie was the one, and how he proposed:
“I fell in love first. Or at least I said I love you first, and was too excited to realize she did not return the sentiment. It took a few weeks but she eventually came around and told me she felt the same.
It couldn’t have been more than two months into the relationship when I said that, but I had never felt so strongly about someone before. I loved being with her, and it didn’t matter what we were doing. I was incredibly attracted to her and we both just liked to have fun and be with each other.
Montana has always been a special place for Natalie and her family. In the past few years I have been able to spend time with her there, and see how much she loves being there–not only because she loves seeing her extended family, but because she always comes away with a renewed sense of self.
We were able to have my sister Paige and Burke, Natalie’s sisters Christine and Callie, her brother-in-law Joey, and her cousins, aunt, and uncle in Montana all sitting down at the dock one night before dinner. I felt it would be another fun memory for her to add to the list of being in her favorite place in the world.”
Thank you both for trusting me to be there on the first day of your new life together, and for being such incredible people!
