It was a beautiful, emotion-filled day for Brooke & Clinton’s Tubac Golf Resort wedding. Surrounded by lush greenery, rustic open spaces, and even some cows, these fellow 4-H-ers were right at home with their family & friends celebrating beside them.
I asked them each to tell me a little about their relationship and when they knew each other was “the one:”
Brooke: We compliment each other in different ways. Clint truly is everything I’m not. I’m starting to tear up just writing this… he just knows how to handle me, and I don’t know how I got so lucky. He is the first to defend me, the first to tell me I am ridiculous (which I can be quite often), the first to calm me down, and he cares for me so incredibly much. I honestly don’t know how I got this man.
Knowing Clint was the one was gradual. I was in college. I wasn’t exactly looking for a husband, but I just loved this man, and the more we dated, the more I fell in love with him until I just couldn’t imagine my life without him. He is everything I am not. He fills in all my missing pieces.
Clinton: We really are each others missing puzzle pieces. I think we compliment each other well. I’ve never had anyone call me out faster than Brooke will, but I’ve also never had someone love me like Brooke does. She’s my biggest supporter and my best friend, but also has a way of dealing with my stubborn self that I’m grateful for.
My biggest moments were our time with my family and hers. Family is very important to us. I have two nephews a niece. Watching Brooke with them blew me away every time. I always came away from those moments thinking, ‘How in the world did I manage to be blessed with her in my life?’ And, ‘If you don’t marry this girl you’re an idiot.’ I would be so lost without her. She is my everything.
