Kallie & Nick’s boho-inspired Boulders Resort wedding was destination wedding at its finest. Surrounded by spectacular desert scenery of the Carefee/North Scottsdale area, the impeccable floral by The Flower Studio, and executed flawlessly by Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings & Events, their day was something to remember.

I asked them to tell me about how they met and when they knew each other was the one:

Kallie: “We joke that we met in the most traditional way–through Tinder, of course! (Nick swiped right on me just two days after joining Tinder) We talked online for about two weeks before finally swapping phone numbers and meeting for our first date. We played multiple rounds of putt-putt golf and then talked in the parking lot for over an hour after the golf course closed. It was a clear sign for both of us that we found something special.”

Nick: “I knew Kallie was the one after our second date. It was 8 hours long! We went paddle boarding on a lake, had beers on the back patio, and then went out for dinner before cuddling on the couch to watch The Walking Dead. I was hooked after that.”

Kallie: “I think I was hooked from the beginning as well. However, I remember thinking to myself how lucky I was to have found him after having an embarrassing “blonde moment” at our house. Nick was working on our bathroom sink and had pulled out the bottom pipe to clean it. As he had his head under the drain pipe, I turned on the water (accidentally) and completely soaked him. At first, he reacted in shock as he pulled his soaked head from under the bathroom cabinets, but then he let out a big laugh and continued laughing for another 5 minutes. I remember thinking “gosh, he must really love me,” and how lucky I was to have found someone who can laugh at my blonde moments with me.”
