It turned out to be an absolutely perfect day for Tanyelle & Kenton’s HammerSky Vineyards wedding photos, even though the day before was cold, windy and rainy. These two are so generous and kind, just wanting their guests to enjoy themselves. The love of their families were evident all day long and everyone was so incredibly happy for them! It was an honor for them to fly me out to Paso Robles, California to spend the day in this gorgeous, peaceful setting of HammerSky Vineyards.
I asked them each to tell me about when they knew each other was the one:
Kenton: We took a family vacation to Cabo after Tanyelle and I had been dating about 6 months. It was Thanksgiving week, and I didn’t want to take her away from her family for the holiday, so I bought her ticket to join us a few days after we had arrived. I remember driving to pick her up from the airport in Cabo, and seeing her by herself at the curb waiting, and I felt immediately complete and at peace knowing that she was finally there with me. It is hard to describe, but I felt like I was missing something for the first few days alone. When she got there I knew. I never wanted to do anything in life without her again. Plus, as the week went by, my family bombarded me with comments like “marry this girl already,” which really confirmed what I was feeling already. I was in.
Tanyelle: When Thanksgiving came around I knew I would love any opportunity to get to know all of Kenton’s loved ones. I knew the family vacation to Cabo had been planned out at least a year in advance, and was an exciting topic for his siblings and parents. I really wanted to be invited, but knew it was a close family vacation and I didn’t want to push the subject. I went over to Kenton’s place for a date night one night, and before we left for dinner, I saw a bag on his bed. There was a note and a plane ticket for me to join him and his family in Cabo for Thanksgiving. I was so excited to be included! But what touched me was that he said he bought the plane ticket in June (we met that May). It was the most romantic thing a man had ever done for me. I knew in that moment he was the person I couldn’t ever picture my life without. I remember being so extremely excited to land in Cabo. Seeing him and bonding with all of his family members just felt right and natural. I just knew without him, something was missing, and with him I was complete. Everything that week just kept making it so clear to me. Like when people say “when you know, you know”… it didn’t even feel like a decision to make. It felt like fate, it was so obvious to me that he was meant for me, and I for him.
Thank you both so much for making me feel so welcome. It was a special day I won’t soon forget. Congrats!
