Elissa & Josh came all the way out from New York for their Salt River engagement photos in Arizona! We had a gorgeous afternoon getting to know each other and exploring the Salt River.

I asked Elissa to tell me how Josh proposed:

“We got engaged in January 2016 in St. John. I won a trip through work for being one of the top salespeople at my company, and we got an all expense paid trip to St. Thomas for the week! So we left all of my colleagues and went to St. John for a few days…

The first night we were there we went out to a low key dinner. There was a woman there playing live music, and Josh kept telling me he wanted to request a song – which is the kind of thing he would do, so it wasn’t a surprise when he got up to go speak to the musician. They chatted for a while while I checked out photos on my phone, and all of a sudden I hear Josh on the microphone at the restaurant! He was dedicating a song to me. Still, I had no idea because none of this was really out of character for him. Only when he spoke into the microphone, looked at me and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ did I kind of freak out. He came over, got down on one knee and slipped a ring on my finger (which I later found out was a fake! He didn’t want to travel with the real thing). I was caught so off guard, it was amazing.”
