You’d never know how cold it was, but maybe how windy it was, for Rachael & Michael’s San Francisco engagement session. We started out at one of their favorite trails with their pup Maize, stopped for a few pics with the Golden Gate Bridge, then enjoyed the rest of the incredible scenery and views of the Marin Headlands.

I asked Rachael to tell me about how Michael proposed and a little about themselves:

“We got engaged in May 2021, almost exactly 2 years to the day that we met. Michael proposed at the SF Giants game. His parents were also there to help celebrate with us. This was extremely special because of the date and the event. One of our first dates was at a SF Giants game together. 

We love family walks with Maize and going on adventures with him. We also like taking golf lessons together and really any activity that gets us outside, such as hiking, biking, camping, etc. We also enjoy cooking together and created our own soup recipe.

We communicate really well and truly feel like we’ve been married in many lifetimes before. It feels like on a soul level we know each other – we describe this as ‘coming home.’ We also work in the same industry which makes work a lot easier and better. It’s amazing to have someone that completely understands your career.”
