Bobby & Arielle escaped the cold Chicago weather and enjoyed some our beautiful Arizona sunshine for their Phoenix desert engagement session. When Arielle asked for both cactus and boulders or mountains, I knew just the spot to take them. The day started out overcast and we were all pleasantly surprised with the hazy afternoon sun that made for some perfectly golden engagement photos.

I asked Arielle to tell me about how they met, a favorite early dating memory, and how Bobby proposed:

“We met four years ago in Chicago shortly after we both moved to the city. We found each other through the well-known dating app, Bumble. It was love at first swipe. Our first date was at a local Old Town favorite called Woodies Flat.

One of my favorite memories when we just started dating was when I drove from Arizona back to Chicago with my dog. I stopped off in Arkansas (which was completely out of my way) to pick up Bobby and drive back with him the rest of the way to Chicago. I briefly met his family and then we drove and stayed the night in Nashville. It was such a fun little trip that we shared and it was the first time he met his soulmate that he never knew he had… my dog, Lady.

Bobby proposed on a family trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Both of our families were able to come, and Bobby proposed on the beach in front of the whole family watching on the condo balconies.”
