These two came out from Minnesota for their desert engagement photos, and they couldn’t have chosen a better location.  I love when my couples embrace the beauty of the desert.  Its neutral hues really make Andrea’s cobalt blue gown stand out.  We had so much fun laughing and exploring together!  I asked Andrea how Adam proposed:

I have always been a big “activites” person, while Adam could spend all day on a golf course or just hanging in a backyard with friends.  Typically, I have been able to get him out of his shell and do some activities, but one activity that we never did was go to Minnehaha Falls.  I have never been, even though I grew up in Minnesota.  

So one mild winter day, we went to BLVD restaurant where we had our first date and sat in the same booth.  After doing some convincing since it was “cold” outside, Adam brought me to the falls.  He managed to keep it (painstakingly) a surprise and make it seem like it was on a whim.  Adam and his friend, Buddy, had previously scoped out the location, and Buddy was secretly waiting with a camera for the moment.  

When Adam popped the question in front of the icy but still running falls, I jumped up and down and said “Yes!” and “Here?!?” totally surprised!  We were then able to celebrate with our mutual friend and roommate Buddy, then we left to go on a “Light Tour,” drinking Champagne and checking out elaborate Christmas lights in Minnesota.  We were dropped off back at BLVD to meet up with our family and some close friends, and celebrated (maybe a little too much) the rest of the night.
