What a beautiful sunny afternoon for Abby & Connor’s Phoenix desert engagement photos! When my couples trust me to explore the open desert in their date night finest, that’s when magic happens.

I asked Abby to tell me about how Connor proposed:

“We got engaged on October 3rd at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). This day was special because it was also my parents’ wedding anniversary. Connor, Greg, and Annie (my parents) colluded to organize a trip to RMNP for the weekend to celebrate the occasion. Little did I know that my whole family was in on it.

On our hike up to Dream Lake, Connor’s parents (who had flown in from CT), were waiting at the lake. The trail was pretty crowded and if anyone knows me, they know I am a speedy hiker! So, when we got to Dream Lake (the second of 3 lakes on the trail), I looked at Connor and said, “Let’s keep going to beat the crowd to the third lake!” Connor replied, “Okay, but wait!! Do you see anyone else you know here!?” As I looked around, my eyes locked in on Connor’s parents sitting on a rock overlooking the lake. I ran up to greet them and before I could even ask any questions, I turned around and Connor was on his knee with the beautiful glacier lake as the backdrop.

It was absolutely the most perfect moment that we will remember forever! The proposal was extra special for us because we were surrounded by family and in my favorite national park!”
