Brooke & Tim had the sweetest Hacienda Del Sol wedding! Surrounded by vibrant color, a southwestern vibe, and old world charm, their day was nothing short of spectacular. I asked Brooke to tell me about a favorite early dating memory and how Tim proposed:
“We would have these really fun ‘date days’ on Saturdays. We would go hiking, shopping, bar hopping. Tim had accepted his job in Chicago shortly after we met, but his plan wasn’t to move until the summer. We really used every weekend as a time to bond and get to know each other before we were going to be in a long distance relationship.
I knew Tim was the one after our first big vacation to Australia together. Travelling can sometimes bring out the worst in a person, but this trip was one of the most memorable ones ever. We had so much fun exploring and just walking around and laughing.
Tim proposed right after the holidays in Chicago! It was perfect and cold and sweet. Tim did an amazing job picking out a beautiful engagement ring. After a crazy year and a crazy holiday of house hunting and being with family, it was so special to reconnect and be together.
Funny though, no one besides our closest friends and family really knew. We didn’t post anything until Valentine’s weekend. Fun to have that little surprise to the world.”
Congrats to you both!
