Cody & Cam’s romantic Royal Palms wedding was so beautiful! Set in the lush grounds of the boutique hotel, they celebrated with an outdoor ceremony and candlelit reception for all their family and friends.
I asked them to tell me about how they met, some favorite early dating memories and when they knew the other was the one:
Cam: “We met through mutual friends in Scottsdale while Cody was visiting from University of Arizona. From the moment we were introduced we got along really well. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to convince Cody to go on a date with me, and we didn’t see each other for two months until homecoming at U of A. I had been down in Tucson with friends, and saw Cody at a bar on campus called Dirtbag’s. We immediately started catching up until Cody’s friends pulled her to leave and she mentioned her phone was dying. I didn’t want to wait months to see her again, so I took my chargeable case off my phone and put it on hers. Of course, my buddies immediately started jabbing me that I was never going to see the case again. But fortunately for me, what could’ve ended up being a costly mistake ended up working. Cody called me when she made it back out later that night, and the rest is history.”
Cody: “Having Cam meet my dad was memorable. Cam was a little intimidated that my dad was a Lieutenant Colonel and was in Blackwater as a military contractor. The two of them are great friends now and Cam loves learning about grilling and having my dad teach him shooting. They tackle projects around my dad’s ranch whenever we go down, and it makes spending time with my family all the more enjoyable.”
Cam: “We were fortunate that we had multiple moments as our relationship grew that showed each other that we were both the ones for each other. The more we spent time together and I got to know Cody, the quicker I realized she was the woman I wanted by my side to tackle life with and create a family together.”
